Day 1: Arrival
After an early morning breakfast, our guide will drive you south westwards. Have a stopover at the Equator to take some photos. This is the point where earth is divided into two equal parts; the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere. Continue to Lake Mburo National Park. This is Uganda’s smallest savanna national park but one of the rewarding places where you can see the zebras. Take a boat cruise along Lake Mburo, the lake from which it drives its name. On arrival you will take a game drive and a canoe ride on the Lake. Overnight at Mihingo Lodge (Luxury)
Day 2: Game Drives in Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, go for a game drive in the Lake Mburo National Park. After the morning game drive, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining population of the mountain gorillas. You will track the mountain gorillas in the northern sector of the park. Overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget) / Buhoma Haven Lodge (Midrange) / Mahogany Springs (Luxury)
Day 3: Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Get early morning breakfast. The guide will drive you to Buhoma and get briefed about gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest. After listening to the rules and guidelines, embark on a guided hike through the Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The park derives its name from its thick vegetation with an immense variety of evergreen trees, festooned with epiphytes, lianas, which reach great heights in their search for sunlight. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you have up to one hour to watch the great apes. After the gorilla trek, relax at the lodge. Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Visit the Batwa community. After the hike, travel to Lake Bunyonyi, the Switzerland of Africa.
You will have lunch in Kabale town after which you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. You will have lunch in Kabale town after which you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. You can relax at the shores of the lake in the evening. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages. Dinner and overnight stay at Bunyonyi Overland Camp (Budget) / Arcadia Cottage (Midrange) / Bird Nest at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 5: Full Day at the Lake Bunyonyi
After the early morning boat ride along Lake Bunyonyi. The lake has almost 38 small islands and each was named according to the bird species that reside on the island. After the tour, retire at the lodge and relax all evening. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Camp (Budget) / Arcadia Cottage (Midrange) / Bird Nest at Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 6: Travel Back to Kampala
After breakfast, embark on a return trip to Kampala or Entebbe. Drop off at the hotel or the Airport to catch your flight back home.
